Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where does the development data come from?
A: The data is sourced from publicly available film development charts, cleaned and verified for accuracy.
Q: Is my data backed up to the cloud?
A: No. All data is stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, your saved favorites and session logs will be removed. We recommend noting important records separately.
Q: The timer notification didn't sound. What should I do?
A: Please make sure notifications are enabled for DevGlass in Settings > Notifications. Also check that your device is not in Silent Mode.
Q: How does temperature compensation work?
A: DevGlass uses the Ilford temperature compensation formula: compensated time = base time × 2^((base temp − actual temp) / 10). This provides a reliable estimate for most B&W films and developers.
